Masonry Restoration & Waterproofing
Comprehensive exterior repairs to improve structural integrity and prevent water intrusion.
The LPES Exterior Refurbishment Project represents ew&r's continued commitment to restoring and protecting educational facilities across Maryland. This project focuses on improving the overall structural integrity, appearance, and weatherproofing performance of Lexington Park Elementary School, a long-standing community institution.
The scope of work includes comprehensive brick repointing and repair throughout the exterior façade, restoration and refurbishment of existing lintels at windows and doors, and full caulking of all exterior openings and expansion joints to ensure watertight protection. These improvements are designed to extend the life of the building envelope, prevent future water intrusion, and maintain the school’s structural soundness.
In addition to the technical restoration, great attention was given to preserving the aesthetic character of the facility. EWR’s skilled restoration team utilized proven materials and application techniques to deliver a durable, high-quality finish that meets both performance and architectural standards.
This project reflects ew&r’s expertise in masonry restoration, waterproofing systems, and façade preservation, ensuring Lexington Park Elementary School remains safe, functional, and visually appealing for years to come.
